Process
Leatherwork / Quillwork
Quillwork is embroidered on brain-tanned deer and moose hides, Birch bark and rawhide.
Hides are derived from those which would otherwise be discarded during hunting season.
All quills come from porcupines that were roadkill in the state of Maine. Birch is sourced from the White Mountains in New Hampshire & the Adirondacks in NY. Quills are dyed with natural plants and commercial dyes.
Home Goods / Wildcrafted Items
Seasonal meals are offered in autumn.
* Wipunkòkw acorn meal is harvested from foraged Swamp White / White Oak acorns. They are gathered, shelled, leeched of tannins and then dried and pounded into usable meal.
Dogbane and Black Walnuts are collected from various wilds.
